Committees

Bylaws Committee

The Bylaws Committee is responsible for reviewing the bylaws annually, formulating and recommending to the Board of Director such changes in the Bylaws as may be desirable. The committee is responsible for seeking feedback from the membership.

Communications Committee

The Communications Committee is responsible for overseeing all matters of communication including but not limited to website content, press releases, pamphlets, and correspondence to elected officials, members or media. The committee is also responsible for outreach to the media to provide representation and a voice for the Association to the public.

Education Committee

The Education Committee is responsible for developing or supporting programs that provide education opportunities to the public to enrich the industry.

Finance Committee

The Finance Committee is responsible for budgeting, financial reporting, and contingency planning for LIFE. The committee prepares reports for the Board of Directors and assists other committees and staff.

Governmental Relations Committee

The Government Relations Committee is responsible for developing a comprehensive legislative strategy and communicating the Association’s positions on legislative matters to legislators or other policy makers. It also promotes fair regulation of the entertainment industry in Louisiana. The committee is responsible for monitoring and assessing regulatory activities and developing recommended policy. The Committee is also responsible for enforcing the Association’s Member Code of Conduct to protect the integrity of the entertainment industry.
